Poppies, Poppies Will Put Them to Sleep.........

I took the boys to a poppy field and attempted to get some pictures of them together. When I told them what we were doing Blake said, "We're not babies." and Griff said, "Or girls." So I said, "Just shut up and smile." and this is what I got.......

I would say, "Sit up straight! Smile!"

Or, "Act like you love each other!"

This is another "sit up straight"
I took 100 or so pictures, and these are the best we could come up with. I guess I'll leave it to the pros for next time.

On June 6, Griffen's soccer team went to a REAL Salt Lake game. They had a blast.

Griff's ex, (I know, I can't stand it) was selling shiny golf balls the other day for 50 cents. Blake thought they were awesome, and bought 2. The next day she was selling them again and I told him 2 was enough and to save his money. The next thing I know, Blake and his buddy are back with another shiny golf ball.

Me: Blake! I told you not to buy anymore golf balls from her!
Blake: I didn't it was free.
Me: Ya, right. Why?
Blake: All I had to do was give her information about Griff and she gave it to me. Can you believe that?

First Grade Dance Festival

The first grade did and end of year Dance Festival with dances from places around the world. Blake was so cute and such a performer. I thought his teacher did a great job with the dances and the costumes. His class was the best and I'm not just saying that. I am posting a couple videos for your enjoyment. I just think he is the cutest little nugget on the planet.

Arrow of Light

Griffen earned his Arrow of Light a few weeks ago and got his award at Pack Nite. The Webelos did the Flag ceremony.

Before he got his prize he got all taped up with this squirrel target and Ben and I shot balled-up towels at him with a sling shot. He had to play Hot and Cold in order to find his arrow while we were shooting him.
He finally found it in a bush.

I dropped him off for his first overnite tonight, and he was prettty excited. I had him put levis on since he was going camping and it looks like it might be a little rainy. And I just think he should wear pants when he goes to Scouts. Anyone who knows him will know that this is a BIG deal. He never wears pants by choice. Not even in the freezingness of winter. I didn't realize how big of a deal it really was until we got to the church and he was seriously starting to have a panic attack or something because the pants were making him too hot and he JUST HATES PANTS! I was like oh my hell kid, go change then. So he did, and all was well in his world.
