Summa, Summa, Summa-time

We went and rafted the Weber River with Joe, Gina and their boys.  Ben and Blake were in one boat, and Griff and I were in another.  Griff and I had quite an adventure.  We were supposed to go under a certain part of a bridge and we were totally going to miss it so we bailed out of our boat and it took forever, it seemed like, to pull the boat to the spot where it was supposed to be.  Finally, we got where we needed to be and we were both kinda scared to let go of the bridge because the current was so freakin strong where we were.  Griff stuck his foot out of the water and said, "Just grab my foot mom, let's go!"  We got back in the boat and not 5 minutes later we ran into a stick that totally popped it!  OMG I thought we were going to die!  We floated down to a place where we could get out and had to cross the highway.  So there we were running across the road, soaking wet, life jackets on, and carrying our huge, flat boat.  It was scary crossing that road!  We were right by the on-ramp by Devils Slide.  We sat on a median barrier thingy and played tic-tac-toe in the dirt, and I taught Griff the "Have You Ever Ever Ever In Your Long Legged Life Seen A Long Legged Sailor With a Long Legged Wife" game.  We waited for at least an hour for them to float down to the truck and come and get us.

Griffen got back from his 50 mile hike.  He had fun.  It actually ended up being 62 miles because someone hurt their ankle, so they had to go around an easier way.  Blake tried carrying his backpack up the stairs.  He barley made it.

Birthday Breakfast!
This year instead of shopping, we went back to Sandra's house and made some frames for Halloween.  It was a fun day, as always!  I am so glad we do it! : )

Almost every day Blake goes outside and cools off with a hose on the tramp.  Griff is playing basketball.

We decided to try a garden again this year.  So far we have had good luck.  I made the adorable garden markers.  We have corn, beans, pumpkins, carrots, tomatoes and zucchini.   Brittni came over and was asking if I had any beans yet, and I said no.  She didn't believe me, so I told her to go look for herself.  She pulled back the bean leaves and guess what??? BEANS!  I thought they grew on the top.  The next morning Griff, Blake and Keaton picked them for me.  We have had lots of beans, tomatoes and zucchinis so far.  We even have a few pumpkins!

COWABUNGA BAY

We went to Cowabunga Bay.  It was OK.  Its kind of a small water park.  I think it's better for littler kids, but we still had fun.

They had this thingy that the kids could get in that spun around and had water in it.

That's Griff on the left and Blake on the right.  Griff kept getting sucked over to Blake's side.  They loved it.

They were pretty dizzy by the time they got out!

These two sleep together every night.  It's too cute!

Griffen has been helping mow the lawn at the Bothwell church.  While he was mowing, Dylan tried to talk me into riding  a Trail-90.  He did.  It was all started and I got on.  My plan was to go around the patio, on the grass in the back, over to the side of the house, into the front, and onto the road.  I didn't want to drive in the gravel.  I got on and asked if it was going to go when I put it in first or if it would just lurch a little.  He said, and I quote, "It will just jump a little."  Ya freakin right.  It shot forward like it was coming out of a cannon!  I ran into the plastic storage thingy, it pushed into the patio table and chairs, and then everything started pushing the grill.  It was so loud and everything was crashing together and sliding across the patio.  I swear I was using the breaks, and that stupid thing would not stop!  Finally, it died or something, and I just sat there for a second, assessing the damage.  I looked back at Dylan, and his face was  freakin hilarious!  He thought I died.  I start cracking up, so he starts cracking up and I don't think I have laughed that hard for a long time.  Then, we heard someone jiggling the back door knob, then nothing.  The door finally opens, but nobody comes out.  Then my mom sticks like one eye around the corner.  Holy crap.  More laughing.  She goes, "I thought I was going to come out to your mangled body all over the patio!"  More laughing.  My dad comes panting around the corner, "What the hell??"  I was like,  "You heard that?"  He said all of Bothwell probably heard it.  Apparently the breaks don't work that great and the throttle sticks.  Funniest thing that's happened in a long time.
