Griff's Game

Blake's Second Ever Basketball Game

Blake had his 2nd game of the season. The little boys are fun to watch. They almost never dribble, or they stop, dribble, run, stop, dribble, run. Blake's team is pretty good and they have won both games so far. Griff had 4 games today. I couldn't make it to the first 3, but Ben said he did really well. The last game of the day I thought he would be way tired, but he rocked it! (I forgot my camera, but I'm sure there will be other games) Once they are bigger and get the dynamics of the game, it makes it more tolerable. (for me) Griff is also getting more aggressive, and it's funny to watch those older boys trash talk each other and get all mad. grrrrrrrr.

I was making fried rice with ham in it and Blake was helping me. By helping I mean eating the ham faster than I could cut it. I had "good" ham in one pile and "bad" ham in the other. He went to eat one of the bad ones and this is the conversation that ensued;
Me: Don't eat that! It's all fatty.
Blake: Why can't you eat the fatty ones?
Me: Because it's disgusting, you don't want to eat fat because then the fat just gets in your body.
Blake: Oh, so, that's what Dad did.
:)

After work yesterday, I took the boys to Hallmark to get their ornaments. They took forever to decide, and they were more interested in the Webkinz. They had little bird Webkinz that they wanted pretty bad, so I said they could get them, but they had to seriously work for them when they got home. So we left with 1 ornament, (one is coming from another store), 4 Christmas mugs, and 2 Webkinz. Then we were off to Wal-Mart for food for dinner. I figured it would be the only night we could get our Christmas dinner in. We always have steak, shrimp, baked potatoes, corn, salad (with special ranch) and rolls. By the time we got back it was after 6:30, and I thought everyone would survive on cereal, but tradition is tradition. Blake would only eat steak and salad, because he claims he is allergic to shrimp. Griff gave him one of his and Blake threw it back at him and it landed in his milk. This was the beginning of the end.
Griff didn't feel like eating because he lost the tag that was on his Webkinz. I always tell them to leave them on until after they have adopted them, but for some reason, they think I am a retard and dont't know what I'm talking about. So, everyone is looking for this little tag. I mean EVERYWHERE! Under the couch, rugs, stove, beds, in the washing machine, in all pockets, in the car, outside, in drawers, it was ridiculous. Griff then insists it's under the fridge. Ben pulls the fridge out, and I about died. So now, of course, I have to clean under there. We found lots of stuff, but no tag.
I had him go shower, think about it and maybe the next place to look would come to him. It didn't. We told him it was just time to move on, and maybe we would find it later. After Ben went to bed, the boys and I wrapped his present and put it under the tree. Blake picked up the big snow globe thing I have under there and VOILA, the tag! I don't think Griff will be as excited for anything he is getting for Christmas, as excited he was to have that tag.

Every Saturday before Christmas my
Grandma and Grandpa Hunsaker have their
Christmas party. This year we started off at their house
playing games, and visiting with Santa.
you're not too big for Santa's lap.
what to think about the big guy.
able to tell if this was the real Santa or not.
I asked him how he would know, and he told me the real
they take everyone to Maddox to eat.
This is my Auntie Sandra and Uncle Rick.
Chantell, Dustin, Grandma Babe, Sandra, Rick,
Jordon, Griffen, Ben and Ashley.
This is us with my Grandparents.
They're the best!
Gingerbread Houses!
Ben and Blake getting started on their house.
It was impossible to get a picture of Dylan when he wasn't texting.
Ashley and Derelict. Blake and Ben
They take this very seriously.
Griffen, Gordon, and Godi.
The finished products.
No get together would be complete without a Blake tourturing session.
It was a fun little get together.
We also celebrated Brittni's birthday.
Decorating the Trees
Every year I take the boys to Hallmark,
and they get to pick an ornament of their choice.
(we haven't got to that yet this year,
but it was past time to get the trees up!)
I have to have all control or none, so I choose none
for this particular Christmas event. They have so much
fun going through the boxes of ornaments, seeing what they have
picked out in the past. They do a pretty good job.
This is an ornament Ben made
when he was little and it has
his picture on it. It always
cracks them up!
Blake likes using the zoom when he takes pictures.
