First Day of School

The First Day of School. I think Blake was kinda nervous and wanted me to walk with him to his class. Griff didn't even look back. Then to celebrate the first day of the rest of our All Day School Kid lives me, Jerri, Gina and Karyn went to Bert's for breakfast. Blake was excited that they get 4 breaks, and snack, and lunch, and zipper points. He also thinks Mrs. Bagley is pretty nice. And he is girl trapped at his table. Griff's favorite part of the day was extra PE. He says his teacher is nice, but not funny at all.

Our Last Summer Fling

Over the weekend we went to Bear Lake and stayed in our friends, Steve and Jerri's cabin. We had a blast. We went to Whiskey Flats 4-wheeling on Sat and hung out on the beach on Sun. Blake thinks it is so awesome to go "camping at Kyler's Hotel". It takes a while for the slideshow to show all the pics, but there are some cute ones of the kids if ya wanna wait it out.

WHAT??

Ben: So are you guys excited for school to start?
Griff: Ya
Blake: No
Ang: You get to eat lunch there now.
Griff: And you get to stay all day like me.
Ben: You'll learn to read even better.
Blake: What??? We have to go to Sylvan?

(you know, the learning center?) I think they have watched too much t.v. this summer. To back up my theory, we have had many conversations about how I should get some "Debbie Meyer Green Bags". And Blake told me I should send all my jewelery to "Cash for Gold" or something so I can get money the very next day. 7 sleeps until school starts!

Sleepover

Griff talked Grandma Babe into a sleepover. He was so excited when he got there. I think he was looking forward to just being the only kid around. They went to Kings and Griff got a Bionicle, then they went to Taco Time and rented a movie. He had a great time. I am glad he is able to have the chance to do that. When I was little that was my favorite thing to do, sleepover at Grandma's.

On the way there there was a tent trailer that the top had blown off on the freeway, and Griff says, "Well, I guess that's what happens when you buy that kind of stuff at Wal-Mart. They should have went to Vescos."

Blake couldn't figure out why the heck Griff got to go somewhere and he had to stay home. He kept saying, "Griff is the favorite, know why? He gets to have a sleepover and I don't." or "I'm not the favorite, know why?" or "I'm not the favorite, Griff is. Know why?" Poor baby. But it's ok, cuz he gets to go for his turn next week.

Lunch With Babe

Griff, Blake, Brittni, Caleb and I went to lunch and the park with Grandma Babe. The boys like to spend time with her, and so do I. And Brittni probably does too. It was a fun afternoon.

Camping Fun

Camping

The Anderson fam went camping. Yay! It was fun. It rained a couple of times, but it was mostly good weather. We camped by a stream, so it kept the boys busy fishing. We played some games, and ate alot. I tried to make a dessert, and I failed. Griff had fun fishing, playing cow balls and riding 4-wheelers around. Blake liked fishing, playing in the creek, and finding forts.

Some funny things that happened:

Blake liked playing in the water, but every time the water came up to his waist, he would scream, "AHHHH, this is freezing my nards!"

Me, Kim, Brittni, Ashley, Caleb, and Yoda found a perfect place to sit in chairs in the stream and read books. Poop Lane. It was awesome.

Playing Mad Gab and listening to Don say, "Weed Hid Dents Tart Thief Higher"

My mom telling me Blake was going to the bathroom in the trailer and that I needed to help him and he opens the door and says, "I know how to poop!"

Good Times.

Bike Ride

Me and the boys were going on a bike ride today and Blake looks at me very concerned and says, "Do you even wenembea how to ride a bike? I haven't seen you ride a bike in like 4 years." And I'm all, "Ya, I think I got it." He also wants to have a "tourmanent" to see who has the fastest 4-wheeler out of Ben, me, and Griff. He wants to be on Ben's team. Wonder why?

Me: "Blake, stop sucking your thumb."
Blake: "But I like to."
Me: "If you don't stop, you'll have to get braces."
Blake: "Like Grandma, you know, your mom? She must suck her thumb a lot."

It was Griff's last baseball game today. He showed some great improvement over the season. I think he is glad to be done, though. After his game, Griff, Blake, and I went to Tree-town to go to Jordon's game, and then to my parents for my Dad's birthday.

Yesterday me and the boys went to Lagoon with Dylan, Jordon, and his girlfriend, Jodi. It was pretty fun. They had good fireworks. We snuck in on some fenced off lawn so we could lay down and watch them and Blake thought the police were going to come and start hitting us for being back there. I think it was his first crime.

Blake and I were sharing some ice cream while the others were going on the Wicked or "Wickit" as Blake says. I asked him, "Do you like that ice cream?", and he goes, "Ya, it's freezing my teeth. See, (smile) they aren't even moving."

You're Going to Hell!

My mom took the boys to an Indian writing thing in Logan Canyon. They were playing the alphabet game, and Griff was stuck on the letter "H". So, Blake helps by saying, "Hell! You're going to Hell!". I asked him why he didn't say Heaven instead, and Griff said, "Well, then it wouldn't have been that funny."

Ben and I hardly knew what to do with ourselves while they were gone, so after cleaning, and playing some games we decided to go get sundaes and then we drove around the cemeteries.

When we got back, my mom was just leaving, so we talked to her for a few minutes before she left. After she was gone, Ben said, "Did your mom get Botox or something?" and I was like, "No, she got BRACES!!!" This should be good:)

Privacy People

Blake was watching TV in my room with Yoda. Every once in a while I would hear Blake groan and be like, "UHHGGGHHHGAWWW, YODA! I freakin hate when you do that!" So, after a couple of times I go up and ask him what's going on, and he says, "Yoda keeps stepping on my privacy. He's done it like 5 times, and I hate it."

Batter Up!

The boys each have one game of baseball left. They have both done really well. Griffen has shown a lot of improvement since the season started. I don't know if he will play again though, because he thinks its boring. And I would have to agree with him. Blake has fun at the games, but I think he is more interested in who brought treats.
