Griff's ex, (I know, I can't stand it) was selling shiny golf balls the other day for 50 cents. Blake thought they were awesome, and bought 2. The next day she was selling them again and I told him 2 was enough and to save his money. The next thing I know, Blake and his buddy are back with another shiny golf ball.

Me: Blake! I told you not to buy anymore golf balls from her!
Blake: I didn't it was free.
Me: Ya, right. Why?
Blake: All I had to do was give her information about Griff and she gave it to me. Can you believe that?

First Grade Dance Festival

The first grade did and end of year Dance Festival with dances from places around the world. Blake was so cute and such a performer. I thought his teacher did a great job with the dances and the costumes. His class was the best and I'm not just saying that. I am posting a couple videos for your enjoyment. I just think he is the cutest little nugget on the planet.

Arrow of Light

Griffen earned his Arrow of Light a few weeks ago and got his award at Pack Nite. The Webelos did the Flag ceremony.

Before he got his prize he got all taped up with this squirrel target and Ben and I shot balled-up towels at him with a sling shot. He had to play Hot and Cold in order to find his arrow while we were shooting him.
He finally found it in a bush.

I dropped him off for his first overnite tonight, and he was prettty excited. I had him put levis on since he was going camping and it looks like it might be a little rainy. And I just think he should wear pants when he goes to Scouts. Anyone who knows him will know that this is a BIG deal. He never wears pants by choice. Not even in the freezingness of winter. I didn't realize how big of a deal it really was until we got to the church and he was seriously starting to have a panic attack or something because the pants were making him too hot and he JUST HATES PANTS! I was like oh my hell kid, go change then. So he did, and all was well in his world.

Privacy People!

Blake is not shy to be naked. Ever. He loves it. Not in front of random people, just the fam. So today I was getting ready to go and he was getting in the shower, but just hanging out naked for a few minutes. He would look at himself in the mirror and then at me, and then himself, and then at me. Then he goes;

Blake: How come you're so tan and I'm so white?
Moi: Oh, I don't know, because I'm older, or maybe because I've been in the sun more.
Blake: No, I dont think so.
Moi: Maybe it's because I have brown hair and yours is blond.
Blake: Well, maybe it's just because you tan.

Good call bud. Good call.

Oopsie!

I feel like the best mom ever!!! We were going to Griff's game and there was a hill Blake wanted to heely down. He wanted me to hold his hand, but I was like, "Oh, you can do it! If you get going to fast, just run out of it." Well he got hauling ass. I didn't think he would go that fast. He fell and was just screaming, "I BROKE MY ARM, I BROKE MY ARM!!!" We stayed for the game and when we got home he seemed to be doing better, but it was pretty swollen. Finally around 9 I decided we better just go to the ER so we could know for sure. We got in there and Griff and Blake started playing catch. I was like WTF???? I thought your arm was broken. So then I was mad because we were wasting a perfectly good ER visit to play catch in the waiting room. But, it really was broken. He just has a splint for now and will get casted later. This is the second time he has broke this arm. Blake just thinks it's a miracle that at least he can still play Halo and suck his thumb.

After such a long day he needed an eye mask and some peace and quiet while he slept. What a kid.

Blake and I went on a date to see Race to Witch Mountain. It was pretty good. Also........

For Boys Week at their school some guys from a local ATV shop came and demonstrated how to ride safely. Blake was obviously more interested in whatever was going on to the left.

After church on Easter the boys come home to a scroll that has been left for them in the back yard.........Then the hunt is on. (And check out the Easter Bunny's mad rhyming skills)
Every year for Easter, on the Saturday before we head to Promontory for our annual Chicken Easter Feast. The Easter Bunny has came and left eggs for the kids to find on the mountain before we get there. It's so nice of him to take time out of his schedule to do that for us.
I am pretty surprised that no one has fallen off the top yet. Knock on wood.
Griff like to hike around and look for stuff.
Blake likes to take his chicken up and eat it in the cave.

And they ALWAYS manage to find a few lizards. It's a fun day.

Coloring Easter Eggs! YAY!!

I swear we did this before Easter, I am just now getting around to posting about this, one of my favorite holiday traditions. We usually buy 3 kits to try out, but the one that always works is just the plain old color dye and wraps, and stickers. We had a fancy foil kind this year that was a complete failure.

By the time we got done with soccer, got home, realized we didn't have enough eggs, go to the store, (where Blake was rolling away in the cart down the hill in complete terror and all Griff and I did was laugh) get back it was already 9:30. But they had to be done.

I think Blake likes it the most. It keeps his attention the longest.

Then his little buddy came over,
(I forgot they were having a sleepover) and
he wanted to dye eggs too, so we just made it a party.
Jerri came over and we finished the eggs and made cd's.
By the time we were finished it was around 3am.

And just so everyone is clear, Griffen was there, he just spent most of the night texting.

Dare Graduate!

Way to go

Griff!

We went to Promontory to take some 4-wheeler out last Sunday, and rode around for a while and shot guns at stuff. Blake loves going out there, he gets so excited. I have to admit it was kinda fun shooting. I set up some pop cans for Griff and Blake to shoot at and Blake said he wanted to be on level one. Griff said, "What do you mean level one?" and he said, "Ya know, easy." He may have a little video game problem.

The Leprechaun left pots of gold for the boys again!
They are so lucky!

Blake's birthday was on March 3. I can't believe he is 7. On Monday the 2nd,

we had family over for cake and ice cream and a few presents. We went to

"cake lady's house" in Tremonton and he picked out a Pokemon character for his cake.

Brittni and Casey gave him a huge coloring book and crayons, Ashley gave him $10, my mom and dad gave him money in a sweet envelope that he loved, and Ben's parents gave him a DS game. Afterwards, Griff, Blake and my brothers played Guitar Hero and Kung Fu Panda.

On his actual birthday, he picked pancakes, waffles, sausage "the pig kind, not the flat kind" (meaning links, not patties), and scrambled eggs with ketchup. He opened some more presents. Books, a shotgun that smokes, a DS case and game, and a movie.

The next day he had a party at McDonald's with all of his buddies.

Is 7 too old to suck your thumb?
